Excellent Customer Service And Better Coffee Then Keurig

I really do love my Senseo, so much so, that I've given two of them to friends, and I also got one for my work place! I told everyone to bring in a bag of their own pods, but feel free to use it. It's much easier than making a pot of coffee and not knowing how long it's been sitting there, turning into muck! I've tried most of the Senseo pods that are available in the U.S. market and have liked most of them. Lately, I've been brewing one pod of Columbian or Dark Roast with one pod of the Godiva Chocolate Creme or the Godiva Creme Brulee pods, just to mix things up. I'm not a big fan of flavored coffees, but using one of each gives it a slightly different taste, yet the flavor does not overwhelm the coffee taste it self. Its quick and so easy!

Once you've got the machine up and running (that is brewing clear water through it the first time to keep water in the machine and basically prime it), it's just a breeze to use. I've never used the single pod brewer, because I want a mug of coffee! Two pods = one mug. I've mixed up the pods to get different tastes and flavors. Even using one Melitta pod (they are thicker and recommend that you use only one... but they don't say if you should brew one small cup or can brew one mug) and one Senseo pod. Although I tried the Senseo Cappuccino Coffee Pods, I wasn't to crazy over those. If I want a Mochalatte, though, I'll just squirt some Hershey Syrup in the bottom of the cup before I brew a mug, and add some light cream... that's a yummy dessert coffee and extremely easy!

I owned my Senseo HD7210 for a little over a year and a half (using it anywhere from 6-8 times a day I am an avid drinker!). I threw away the receipt after a few months since I figured i would never need it. When I called customer service to figure out why the motor was not working properly they asked me for the numbers on the bottom and said no problem we will send you a brand new Senseo in the mail today. Not only did I get a brand new Senseo (with tin cans this time!) but they sent prepaid shipping for me to return my old model and they also gave me a new 2 year warranty. I honestly expected them to say throw it away and buy another but that was not the case. As for the coffee. I tried the flavored varieties as soon as they came out and they leave a lot to be desired. But the medium and dark roasts are wonderful. I fill my travel mugs at least twice a day only using one pod (I use the 2 cup option and even add some milk and the taste is wonderful).

The coffee duck is a reusable filter that allows you to use what ever type of coffee you enjoy so if you do not like the senseo pods others are out there. I went through two Keurigs and hated both of them. The first arrived at my house with defects (vibrated my cup off the saucer and was extremely loud and had weak coffee while the second just had extremely weak coffee). The Keurig cost almost $150 and 18 pods are $9.99. Senseo's prices are better, the customer service is better, and I honestly believe the coffee is better. I love my coffee as I brew an entire pot in my Mr. Coffee machine (just for me mind you) and then I snack on the Senseo for my evening coffee. If I can try four different pods of Keurig and say to all of them the Senseo is better and then read Keurigs reviews of their blotched customer service then I think I try and help people make that wonderful decision of what coffee maker to buy! Good luck in your research!

Great Coffee Maker, Has Lasted Me For Years!

I've had this coffee maker since college, and I'm about to graduate law school. If it ever dies I will definitely be replacing it with another one! It's perfect if you're the only coffee drinker in the house, and everyone knows it's smarter (especially in this economy) to brew your own coffee rather than wasting your money on Starbucks every day. Brewing your coffee only takes a couple minutes. Turn the machine on, put the pod in and get your cup ready while the machine heats up for a minute or two, then push a button and your coffee is poured in half a minute!

Cleanup takes literally 2 seconds - just throw the used pod away and run the pod holder under hot water, with a little dish soap if you're feeling ambitious (and once in a while clean the tray and drip catcher with dish soap - also takes two seconds). So much better than a big coffee pot with messy grinds and lots of parts to clean. Great product. I recommend getting the expanded water tank so you only have to refill every 10 cups or so, since I used to get annoyed when I had to refill the tank all the time.
